The Bible Station LabOur computerized "Bible Station" lab is set up and operational for all interested students, from youth to adulthood. Each workstation is equipped with a modern computer and a number of computerized Bible study tools that will assist you in learning about the Bible. Planned lessons, written by faithful Christians, are provided for all ages, giving a full and broad perspective on the scriptures and the will of God for your life. We encourage you to ask how you can profit from the "Bible Station" lab Schedule
Those who are interested in utilizing the resources of The Bible Station at odd times are encouraged to make specific arrangements with our elders, so that the security of our facility will not be compromised. It's here. Use it! What We Cannot DoIn spite of our greatest effort, there are two very important things that we cannot do. Make you learn the BibleWe can teach, but learning the Bible is up to you and depends on the personal effort and diligence you put into the learning process. We can provide the tools for your study, but we cannot give you the motivation to learn. We can make an environment that is conducive to learning the Bible, but you will burn many midnight candles of diligence before you are mature in the Word. However, when you have met and marked several milestones of achievement in your understanding, you will look back at the time and diligence you have put into your study and will be quite pleased at the progress you have made. You may even see yourself as a teacher of others. This is as it should be. But, in the meantime, settle in and start the process. God will bless your effort and you will soon be helping others as you have been helped! Give you faith in the Lord Jesus ChristFaith comes through the word of Christ (Romans 10:17), but that does not mean that anyone who knows about the Bible--nor even knows the Bible--is a believer. Belief is more than knowledge. It proceeds from hearing and learning what is written (or spoken, in the case of preaching), reacting to the testimony that is given concerning the person and work of Jesus Christ, and trusting that testimony is true and that the promises of God are secure to those who believe. We hope to be able to help you attain a knowledge of the truth, and we will do anything within reason to make it happen. But, we cannot believe for you and we cannot make you believe. If you are disposed to disbelief, then you will probably remain an unbeliever. If you are a credulous person (a person who believes with little effort), you will probably believe before you have been adequately taught. You need to develop a bit of healthy skepticism that demands careful examination of what is studied to insure that it is the truth of God. You do not need to believe everything just anybody says, including us. Instead, you need to do as the learners in ancient Berea; Here's what is said about them: "Now these were more noble-minded than those in Thessalonica, for they received the word with great eagerness, examining the Scriptures daily to see whether these things were so. 12 Therefore many of them believed, along with a number of prominent Greek women and men." (Acts 17:11-12)) If you approach the study of the Word of God with the same spirit as those in ancient Berea, you will have the same result. Hear with eagerness. Examine the scripture to determine the veracity of what we teach. Only then will you will be the obedient believer God would have you to be, one who does what the Word says and not merely one who hears, but does not obey (James 1:22)! |
